Reporting to the Director of Facilities Management, this position leads the Procurement Operations to drive sourcing strategies for key commodities and goods not for resale spend categories to achieve specific business objectives (reduce total cost of ownership, increase contribution to EBITDA, national account contracts with service level agreements and key performance indicators) across Store Development spend categories. Executes strategies for contracting, supplier management, business partnering and savings. Contributes to annual savings targets. Maintains and provides a current understanding of industry best practices and technology trends to team members and business partners. The candidate must identify and develop excellent working relationships with key stakeholders to gain a comprehensive understanding of their requirements to support the business in achievement of their goals.
Cost analysis and auditing, including variance analysis.
Leads execution of procurement strategies for Store Development, including those for facilities, merchandising, marketing, store ops and other business partners.
Leads savings tracking and analysis process for Total Wine and More Procurement Team.
Collaborates with business partners to achieve savings targets to drive the best business outcomes.
Experienced negotiating tactics and skills.
Manages the planning and launch of RFIs and RFPs.
Uses procurement strategies and technologies to solicit lowest bids (RFPs, reverse auction, direct, bid etc.)
Performs complex data analysis and build financial models (i.e. ROI, NPV, supplier scorecards, savings tracking, build vs. buy decision models; repair vs. replace decisions).
Identifies and pursues process reverse engineering, value engineering, and demand management opportunities to increase efficiencies.
Formulates strategies to address feedback from business partners to ensure objectives are met.
Provides procurement perspective and makes recommendations to leadership and business colleagues.
Adherence to organizational policies, procedures and processes to ensure compliance with corporate governance.
Conducts complex negotiations for major contracts in partnership with the Director, Facilities Management.
Minimum Experience, Skills and Education:
4-year BA or BS degree
Minimum of 8-10 years industry experience required in procurement related experience
5 or more years in supervisory or management related experience
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Proven success managing a team of people
Experience working with sourcing and contracting, strategic sourcing, category management
Position-relevant computer experience including Microsoft Office and procurement systems software and supplier management practices
Experience working with company policies and procedures
Strong business acumen and financial analysis required
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Strong presentation and communication skills
Superior human relations and client relationship skills
Strong negotiation skills
Strong knowledge of applicable categories
