We are looking for a New Business Developer to join our growing sales team. This position will be responsible for generating new revenue through the sales of the company’s services. They will work directly with executive and key personnel to identify, strategize, prioritize and pursue new and existing opportunities, build trust and integrity while providing consultative advice. The New Business Developer must continuously develop & feed a sales funnel, generate new opportunities and close on new business opportunities as well as penetrate existing customers.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a business related field or equivalent experience. A minimum of four years professional progressive sales experience including a minimum of four years of successfully selling services is required. Experience in the facility outsourcing industry a real plus.
Responsibilities regarding New Business Developer
Identify new business prospects through, conventions, telemarketing, e-marketing, direct mail marketing, internet advertising and all available resource options.
Research market and industries to determine viable new clients that are compatible with our company.
Identify and initiate contact with potential clients.
Identify and pursue key decision makers.
Understand customer’s organization and culture.
Qualify potential clients to ensure a match for the Company’s client criteria.
Obtain preliminary information from potential client to assist the corporate office in the preparation of the client contract proposal.
Maintain “top ten” list of potential new clients.
Maintain and expand CRM daily with potential customer contact and details.
Continually keep activity levels (cold calling, follow ups, meetings, attending network associations, etc.) high to ensure pipeline is continually strong.
Prepare a variety of status reports including activity, closings, follow-up and adherence to goals.
Engage National Sales Director weekly to discuss pre-sale activity levels, new results, future meetings, pipeline, approaches to be successful and technical/account management support needed to assist in sales.
Track, detail and update all pre-sale activity, touches and attempts in appropriate systems.
Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts.
Participate in trade shows and sales conferences.
Stay abreast on current trends within the sales and ESM industries.
Remain current in the industry with best practices, new technology and service offerings.
Ensure a proper transition from sales to account manager.
Adhere to sale’s manual, policies, and companies methods.
Occasional overnight travel is required.
